The initial stats for the characters are located from 7AB00 to 7ACFF. This
data is a series of 20 byte entries (with two unused places at the end filled
with FFs). When a character joins the party for the first time, this data is
copied to their character record as follows:

The initial equipment for each character is located from 7AD00 to 7AFFF (with
an awful lot of unused space at the end filled with FFs).
